Mary Possidente

Mary is self-taught using a looped wire technique to make hanging sculptures. She is inspired by the work of the renowned artist Ruth Asawa, who created looped wire sculptures in the 1950s and 60s. Mary’s experience with stained glass, ceramics, basketry, and other fiber arts evolved into and serves as a foundation for her interest in using wire to explore shape and depth and the connections between them.
